Ever since my first adjudicating service in 1998, I have enjoyed working with young musicians across Canada and the United States. It is a privilege to motivate young musicians as they develop musicianship skills and achieve full artistic potential. Each year, I look forward to serving music festivals.

Edward Turgeon serves as Senior Mentor Examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto since 1990, and adjudicator for regional, national and international festivals and competitions in North America and Europe. He has appeared at the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall and Yong Siew Toh Concert Hall to name a few, and has recorded for Marquis and Vanguard Classics labels. He has won first prizes in several international competitions, and has been heard on CBC, NPR's Performance Today, BBC, as well as other European and Asian radio stations. Through undergraduate and graduate training, Turgeon’s teachers included Peter Frankl (Yale), James Anagnoson (Toronto), Claude Frank (Banff and Yale), Marek Jablonski (Banff) and Karl Ulrich Schnabel (New York). Turgeon currently serves as Professor, Artist in Residence and Director of Music at Algoma University. His past positions included those at Florida Atlantic University and the HARID Conservatory.
