Edward Turgeon serves as Senior Mentor Examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music. Toronto since 1990, and adjudicator for festivals and competitions throughout North America and Europe. He has appeared at the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall and Yong Siew Toh Concert Hall to name a few, and recorded for Marquis and Vanguard Classics labels. He has won first prize in several international competitions. His performances have been heard on CBC, NPR's Performance Today, BBC, as well as European and Asian radio stations. Through undergraduate and graduate training, Turgeon’s teachers included Peter Frankl (Yale), James Anagnoson (Toronto), Claude Frank (Banff and Yale), Marek Jablonski (Banff) and Karl Ulrich Schnabel (New York). Turgeon currently serves as Associate Professor, Artist in Residence and Chair of Music and Visual Art at Algoma University.
