Soprano Irene Ilic (M. Mus., B.A. in Music) has a thriving private teaching practice in Newmarket, Ontario. She is passionate about training singers of all ages in classical, musical theatre and pop. She believes in encouraging young talent and inspiring a lifelong love of music in everyone who enters her studio. Irene is in demand as an adjudicator with extensive experience who is noted for her positive attitude and encouraging comments. (NATS Board, OMFA Board, ORMTA).

Master of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music in Ohio.

Irene is proud that many of her students over the years have won RCM Silver and God Medals for the highest mark in Ontario on a vocal exam. Many others have gone on to pursue performing and teaching careers of their own. She is a board member of NATS Ontario and the OMFA and an ORMTA member. Irene is Founder and Director of the Newmarket Voice Festival, an annual event since 1996.
