For more than three decades, Yvette has enjoyed adjudicating at many music festivals across Canada. She has taught all levels of music for forty years, is a member of the BC Registered Music Teachers’ Association and is a former faculty member of the Langley Community Music School, the Victoria Conservatory and the Douglas College Community Music School.
Holding a Doctorate of Music in Piano Performance, Dr. Stephen Runge is in demand across the country as teacher, adjudicator, and clinician. He is currently on faculty at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick. He has been heard in concert from Victoria to Halifax as soloist and collaborative artist.
Maura Sharkey-Pryma has enjoyed teaching voice and performance artistry over 20 years, and instructs from her studio at MacEwan University's Conservatory of Music in Edmonton. She trains students in classical, musical theatre, contemporary commercial music, and various vocal techniques and methodologies. Along with teaching and performing as a freelance soloist, she is sought after as a vocal adjudicator and clinician.
Dale Sorensen is a passionate performer and promoter of Canadian music, who has premiered more than 20 solo trombone pieces and dozens of chamber works, and recorded an all-Canadian CD of music for trombone. As an orchestral musician, Sorensen performs regularly with Symphony Nova Scotia, the PEISO, and the Charlottetown Festival Orchestra, and has freelanced throughout southwestern Ontario. A dedicated educator, he has taught at UPEI, Dalhousie, MUN, Mount Allison, and U of T.
A frequent and popular adjudicator at over 150 festivals for the past 25 years, Peter Stoll teaches clarinet, chamber music, performance studies and the Business of Music at the University of Toronto. Known for his positive and encouraging comments and work with festival participants in woodwinds, brass, percussion, instrumental, band, orchestra and chamber music classes, Peter has adjudicated at 15 Provincial finals and twice at the Nationals. Ever since the first adjudicating experience in 1998, I have enjoyed working with young musicians across Canada and the United States. It is a privilege to empower, encourage and motivate young musicians to develop musicianship and realize full artistic potential. I always look forward to serving music festivals.
After teaching at the post-secondary level for thirty years Dr. Dale Wheeler now maintains a small private studio and is a senior examiner, clinician, and online facilitator for the Royal Conservatory of Music. He holds the doctorate in piano performance and pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma as well as credentials from the University of Saskatchewan and Trinity College of Music. Dale has appeared as a performer, adjudicator, and lecturer from across Canada and throughout the U.S.
